Discontinued XJ 2001 exhaust
Hello
Im trying to find an exhaust full system or just cat back for my XJ 2001 4.0L (3960L 181 BHP)
I live in the UK and all I can find are exhaust systems that companys say thats the right after market exhaust, so I order it and it completely wrong.
The main dealer says that my exhaust is discontinued and I know I can get one made up but the price is far to much.
Ive added a pic of the exhaust I need. MIne is the 52101 262AH flanged exhaust.
Can any body help in locating one
Cheers

Can you access Walker parts in the UK? Is yours an American Version or a European version? And if an American version is it Federal or CA Emissions? What is the manufacture date?

So I just replaced the whole exhaust on my '00. Mine is a CA Emissions with a 4/2000 build date. Best I can tell is that your Euro version would be a Federal Version. But do not quote me on that. I am thinking you have the dual exhaust manifolds. Is this what your Y pipe from the the exhaust manifolds look like?

Then the Crossover pipe:

Thinking this is your Cat;
http://www.walkerexhaust.com/catalog...g-lookup/16117
Thinking this is your muffler:
http://www.walkerexhaust.com/catalog...g-lookup/21489
And tailpipe:

Thinking the rear hanger on that tailpipe will need to be cut off.
Lots of guessing going on here. So the Y pipe has a flange on the end. The Crossover pipe has flanges on both ends, This gasket will be used on both ends of the Crossover Pipe:
http://www.walkerexhaust.com/catalog...g-lookup/31625
The cat has flanges at both ends and one O2 sensor bung at the rear. The muffler just has a flange up front. No gasket between the two.
So two of these. One will secure the tailpipe to the muffler. One gets used in conjunction with the rear hanger.

http://www.walkerexhaust.com/catalog...g-lookup/36377
And the isolator;
http://www.walkerexhaust.com/catalog...g-lookup/35750
Again lots of guessing going on here. Plus the front of the Y is bolted to the exhaust manifolds with bolts and spring clips.
Bolts 6505754AA will need 4
Spring Clip/Nut 650654AA will need 4
These I got from my Jeep Dealership.
The reason that I have a vague clue is because I replaced my entire exhaust, fronts dual cat set up back.
You need to be very careful with what I have posted. Lots of guessing going on here.

Manifolds - 2.8L Right Hand Drive is different.
No RHD or LHD differentiation.
Again, no Right or Left drive distinction.

According to my Crown Automotive catalog, only the 2.8L Manifold cares if the Cherokee is right hand drive. For the 4.0 - everything appears to be the same: tailpipe assemblies and catalytic converter part numbers don't seem to care.
Manifolds - 2.8L Right Hand Drive is different.
No RHD or LHD differentiation.
Again, no Right or Left drive distinction.

Totally. At least in the US. Any muffler shop can bend pipes and weld on a muffler in under an hour, maybe faster if there's pizza involved.
