I have two front driveshaft for a jeep Cherokee one has marking of C2 – 3–739 the other one has Martin C2 – 3–2699 both Spicer. 739 has an upstanding front drive shaft yoke. Any significance in the difference\which one is better?

Can you try posting those part numbers again? Hard to tell from the photos.
XJs came with different front drive shafts depending on how far forward the transfer case sat. This is affected by which transmission and engine they shipped with. Neither are "better", they're just different lengths.
