diff breather
so i was in some mud yesterday and my back axle was completly submerged for somethiing like 5 minutes, I know there are vents on the diffs.... can water get in there?? do i have to change oil everytime i get into some water?!
Thanks guys |
I do if it gets over the breather tube for a good amount of time..
|
how high do the breather tubes go?
|
someplace on the body... think high part of the wheel well in the back and up towards the radiator in the front.
|
On the front, it goes to the top of the firewall.
Look behind your brake booster. You should see s large rubber hose coming UP to a white/cream "plug"...thats your breather. As for the rear, I do know it routes into the unibody framerail, where it goes from there :dunno: |
Im doing something similar to this. Going to use small breathers instead of fuel filters.

awesome, so the front vents above the firewall, where does the rear vent?!?
|
Does the aw4 have a breather of some sort? please say yes!!! My 3 spd in my TJ did not and we had to drill and make one. that was a PITA but worthy mod.
|
It has one
