Default Did upper and lower radiator hose and need help cleaning up the guys mess who

So my lower radiator hose started to leak so I figured I would replace both lower and upper radiator hoses. I had a co-worker help me because it can be a two-person job. We got them on successfully but while I was putting the airbox back in he was filling up the coolant system and he accidentally overfilled my coolant reservoir dangerously high and I am now concerned about overfilling the cooling system by finishing burping it. How should I proceed with this? (We also we're doing this in the rain and killed the tps)

I don't think it will hurt anything, loosen the overflow tank cap it will just push the overfill out on the ground. A little waste of coolant but not going to hurt anything and can just be rinsed off after it's done doing it's thing.

You can't overfill your cooling system. The reservoir is over filled though. Just use a turkey baster or something to remove the excess. You need to replace the hose next to your radiator neck.

So just keep filling it and drive it around with no overlfoe cap for a bit?

Is is there anything else I should be concerned about with my hood being open to rain for quite a while (about 30mins)

Yeah I saw that bad spot too, it could be leaking vacuum during cool down periods. Or just cut off a bit past the bad spot and shove it back.

Just cut it off behind the bad spot and shove it back on. Wipe that little fitting with a little oil from your dipstick and it should slide right on.

Here's the other issue. We broke the plastic hose clamps holding that baby hose in place yetserday. And I don't have a fan shroud. I need to get those clamps replaced too.

The little overflow hose doesn't really need a clamp if it fits good and tight. But you all ready know it does indeed need a shroud. I busted a mounting tab on mine and going to have to epoxy it back.

Honestly I'm not sure about that. One of the other guys would know better than I if it would work or not. I haven't had to play with mine yet so the question hasn't been addressed as an option yet for me.

My throttle is being insane I was in a congested parking lot and it went from the normal cruising speed in gear of a thousand RPM all the way up to 1500 with no warning and I had to fight it with my break so I didn't rear end the guy in front of me

just park the driver tire on a rock or something high and let it burp itself.
