My heep is throwing a P1038 oxygen sensor circuit high voltage bank one sensor two code. I just changed the downstream O2 sensor not to long ago, so confused as to what could the issue be. It seems to run a bit rough at times when sitting still, but drives perfectly fine. Need help please.

Follow the wires back from the O2 sensor, they cross the manifold and melt sometimes causing the high voltage code.

Also get up under the heap and inspect the wires up in the transmission tunnel. Sometimes they get pulled down out of their little perch above the O2 sensor and make contact with the drive shaft. It doesn't take long for the drive shaft to rub through the insulation.

What kind of replacement O2 sensor did you use? If it was cheap, it's possible that it just gave up quicker than the OEM sensors. I've had parts not work correctly right out of the box.

It was Bosch, is that one that often quits out?
