Default DD lift question.

Hey guys just bought my first 4x4 xj 2000. i just put 30's on and ive been looking through the forum about 2 inch lift vs 3 inch. With a 3in do i need to change anything else like tie rod ends, lowering the transfer case ect? I do a lot of highway driving so i dont want the 'death wobble' that comes with lifting without change suspention parts.

ONLY way to avoid Death Wobble is to fix ALL worn suspension and steering components BEFORE any lift. TRE's, BallJoints, Bushings. Maintenance should come before any Modifications, ALWAYS.

You might need a TC drop or SYE with anylift, wont know for sure till you lift it. The stock trackbar will work up to 3.5" of lift, but if it is worn at ALL, it will cause DW. Stock control arms will work to 3.5", or 6.5" with a drop kit, but if the bushings are worn, DW. Shocks, just replace them. Steering stabilizer replace it. DS U-joints, front and rear, replace them.

there is a 3'' rough county kit its the sires 2 kit that works wonders, but its all ways good to change you steering out with all new items with any kind of lift.

this is what i picked up and put on at the same time i was under my jeep the first time with the 3'' life. and after bending my front axle housing form hitting a rock that was under water right as i went in and i didn't see. up until then had no prob with it. and i rock clime a lot
