My friend suggested that i paint the stock wood grain dash white. Im kinda skeptical as to how it would look. Has anyone painted theirs? Opinions on white?

well if your going to paint it DO NOT use regular spray paint it will chip to **** later
get this paint all you need to do is clean your pannel off with some alcohol and it will stick great and last along time they have it at autozone and hardware stores

Yeah the woodgrain dashes are hard to find and more so in as good a condition as yours seems to be. J/Y dash if you are determined to paint one.

my dash wash grey. i used the fusion paint and painted it white. IT LOOKED LIKE CRAP. impo. I mean white looked a ton sportier but is was very dull. Any i uses high gloss krylon fusion.
So what i did was take it back off. sanded it down. Cleaned it , and sprayed it with krylon high gloss black. (fusion)... and it looks great. it blacked out the dask and gives it a kewl look. pluss when you put armor all on it the paint shines like it was profecionally done.
just my .02

Leave the wood...
Its neat-o. However I want to paint the the dash pad (top of the dash) black to set it off.

Yeah that would look good. I saw a pic on google images of the piece around the gauges painted white that actually looked good i might try that. How hard is it to get that piece out?

Other option you have it to go with vinyl sheet. U can find it on ebay cheap and it comes in everything from white to carbon fiber look alike. Even chrome looks decent. I have to back up the JY suggestion though. I love the look of that wood on the dash and havent been able to find on in good condition. Usally the u-pull it ones I find are broken from some savage having his way with it...
