My 2000 Cherokee 6 cy has 62k miles.

Today, I heard a beep, looked at the dash, and the brake light was on, the ABS light was on, the speedometer would sporadically go from 0 to 100 mph reading and the odometer light would flicker on and off.

I pulled over, turned engine off for 1/2 hr and when I restarted, the lights never came back on and the speedometer/odometer was normal.

What the heck is going on? What do you folks advise me to do?

ya know mine occasionally goes out, like completely dead, on my 97' and I rectify the situation with a short punch to the dash; its corrected the problem so well, on the few times it happens, that I haven't made the time to get back there and look. Unless you have some electrical experience I imagine it will be difficult to diagnose...
