Hey guys. I was on the interstate the other night and had my heater on full blast. After about ten minutes of the heater being on, the dash lights began flickering and eventually cut off. So I turned off the heater, and about three minutes later, they came back on. Also, I could smell a smell similar to burning hair. Has any experienced this? Does anyone have a solution? I'm kind of worried to turn on the heater now.

Just a thought, I could be waaaay off base but it's the very first thing that came to mind.
I had an 85 W-150 (Dodge Ram) one time that somebody had managed to burn a large portion of the fuse box and wiring on ( a Chrysler product with crappy wiring? I know right?) They ran the heater blower wire directly into the light switch. Didn't know it till' one cold Ohio night when I was cruising down 75 with the heater on. Lights and heater both went off and literally had to get off the highway and drive a country road in the dark. Fun times but I would check for bubba'd wiring first.
