Dash brake light no workie on 98 XJ

Dash brake light no workie on 98 XJ
I have a 98 XJ. When I pull parking brake, the brake indicator on dash does not light up. I took apart center console to make sure contact switch was plugged in etc. it appears it's good. Is there any thing else before I take off dash? And is it a p. I. T. A? Or just a bulb back there? Thanks

It's not a big deal ot pull the cluster out.The bulbs are clearly marked on the back.
I doubt it's a bulb,my CEL has been on forever & hasn't burned out yet.I'm sure your XJ has not been driven with the brake up & the light on,for a very long distance anyway.
