Dana35 Limited-slip diff

Hi,
I have '95 TD diesel, and according to Wikipedia(not real source but...) it has Dana 35 real axel, and today I had to remove one wheel and I just tried to spin(gearbox and transfer in neutral) the wheel but I wasn't able to do it.
Do anyone have more info about this?

Thanks

both rear wheels should spin in the same direction if LSD, provided they are both off the ground, with handbrake off

it may be difficult to turn, which is indicative of LSD, but it still should, try harder!

if the rear wheels spin opposite = non-lsd

Hi,

I wasn't aware that XJs have it, so it was strange for me
Anyway, today I lifted it and definitely there is LSD.

Thanks

Hi,

I forgot to ask, what kind of oil is used in this diff?
Regular transmission or?

You can use 75w-90 or 80w-90 gear oil for normal driving. If you live in a
hot climate, do a lot of towing, or run very large tires, you should use 140w-90.

The limited-slip requires an additive of about 8 ounces of friction modifier to
keep the clutches from clicking in turns or wearing out. Some gear oil already
has the additive, and if it does, it should say so on the label.

The additives are available in any auto parts store in the US for about $8. If you
can't find it in your country, (where do you live?) then see if you can get some
from the US.

Thanks a lot for answers, more-less I use it for normal driving.
I'm from Bosnia, it can be found here.
