Default dana 44s from a cj10

i have come across a guy who has a cj10 with dana 44s front and back for dirt cheap. does anyone know anything about these and will they work under my xj? i have done some searching and cant find any specs on the cj10 axles. i know it was designed and used as a military tug vehicle for airplanes and i read on one site that it had 4.88 gears which would be perfect for my 35s. i could not find anything that stated wether it was over the axle or under the axle spring mounts or what the length was on the axles. the guy wants 200 for the motor, tranny, transfer case, and axles. the motor in the cj10 i believe was an sd33 diesel which was the same motor that was in some of the scouts. i wonder........

They won't fit under your XK cause they are Narrow track axles.. They are narrower than XJ axles..

it is just the frame, motor, tranny, transfer case, and axles. not the complete vehicle.

just talked to the guy and he is getting measurements for me. it is not the military cj10 it is the 1/2 ton pickup version and he thinks the spring perches on the rear axle are on top. keeping my fingers crossed.

pickup is the J10, not CJ10.

if its a J10 you can use them, and the rear is spring over but you wont be able to use any of the mounts regardless.
