dana 35?

Default dana 35?

Really dumb question probably but I need to know if the dana 35 only came with one type of axle spline and wasent offered with two types. Thanks

99% sure there are two, but not 100% sure.

i believe they are all the same spline but there are c clip and non c clip versions. i do know 89 came with non c versions idk what other years if any had the non c version

That must've been what I read.

Do the D44's come in different spline counts?

yes but idk if they had differnt counts in the xj version.

Locking a Dana 35 is not the best idea in the world, they are very weak axles and break easily when locked.

From the factory the 35 did not have any other spline count but 27 spline. you can upgrade to 30spline "super 30" axles but stock open carriers are 27 spline.

Ya I just did a little research and the only thing different like you guys said is the c clips but my friend has a locker in his and it hasent broken yet. Ive also ripped posi brake stands before with 33's and it didnt break lol. Im on a budget so I Cant really upgrade to better axles at the moment lol.

The 8.25 had the year change, I know that for sure, I have not heard of the D35 ever having a change like that.
