Default Dana 30 different inner axle seals?

First time posting here but I need some help with figuring out if there are different types of inner axle seals in my 99 xj. I took the old ones out and the driver side seal is different from pass side. I bought 2 same seals (same and old pass side) and wondering if that will work? Thanks

Different as in sizes? Or different as in colors and style.

Possible that at some point only one seal was replaced with a different brand. Just had mine apart and the seals were identical in size.

That's what I thought at first. In the picture is what I took out (one of each) but the parts store gave me 2 same seals, the one on the right in picture below

The thinner lip seal is for an axle with vacuum disconnect. ones running 2 of the same seal have no disconnect.

I misinformed you guys :/ I found old ones is garbage can and they are not like the one I posted pictures of before. I'm not sure it's even Dana 30 seals now. The small red one is the one I can't find. It came out of pass side on the axle.

If the dana 30 in your 99 is the axle that came in it from the factory, it will be non vacuum disconnect and the seals should be identical.

Should look like these.

Thanks for the replies and I understand but the replacement seals just don't fit. Well at least the pass side seal. Anyone familiar with the "super 30" kit?? I'm already thinking it might not be a stock Dana 30 axle. Last owner told me he built the axle so he might of upgraded it.

Default Same issue

Hey,
ive run into the same issue as you. I took apart the front to replace the seals and they are different.
There is no information on what seals I need to replace the smaller side anywhere. How did you resolve your seals?
