dana 30 92 XJ seals
my right seal has gone bad and I'm in the process for shopping for both sides. turns out the right side has 2 different sizes? I'm only able to fine one of the 2 sizes and I'm wanting to replace the seals tomorrow. anyone know the size or how to determine without completely tearing it apart?

You might be able to talk to the parts MANAGER at a dealership. I say manager because he would probably know better about older jeeps than the other yahoos on the parts counter. He might even be able to give you a part number. If you want it from him, he'll have to order it, guaranteed. They don't generally stock parts for anything older than 5 years unless it's a common part. The guy I deal with owned a 46 CJ.

Try to find the casting number:
https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.che...add7b68519.jpg SEAL, O.D.= 2.12" (Casting #NOK-UB0441E) SEAL, O.D.= 2.29" (Casting #CR-16083) |
These guys seem to differentiate based on whether there's CAD:
