Daily Driver Help!!!
Ok so yesterday i replaced my idler pulley as the bearing was going out. I also cleaned with electric cleaner all connections i could find. While i was at it i got under the jeep and undid and cleaned connection to the transmission. I accidently left one unplugged and went to drive today and it wouldnt shift gears, turned around and limped home. found the plug and reconnected it. now it will shift, but takes forever to shift and revs the RPMs up. any help!!!! Please this is my DD and i need her back!

The computer may be in limp home mode. Try disconnecting the battery for ten minutes to reset it.

thanks, I've had the battery disconnected for about 30 min now and am about to rehook it up and see if there are any codes and test it again.

Cool, let us know what happens.

There is a big change between 90 and 91. I wanted to mention, on my 90 the TCU is up under the glove box. Its fuse is right there on the wiring harness near the TCU. Mine will work, bur slip and act funky without it. I never actually tried to run it far that way, so don't know about shifting...
Anyway yours has a TCU fuse somewhere, and since you were running around with your wires off something might have happened there.... |
