Default cutting out?

so last friday, i just filled it up with gas (non ethanol), and i pulled out of the gas station and it was running fine. i got about a block away and i just completely died while i was driving. i could barely get it pulled over. after shifting it into park i got it fired again and it ran fine. i didnt drive it all weekend and on monday it did it when i was going back to school, i already have a new gas tank, fuel pump and some new lines, any ideas?

and also, is it normal for it to shift into third at about 2750-3000RPM?

Check the fuel pressure. New does not aleays mean good. Even new puppies die.

x2, start looking at what was recently changed. The fill up was most likely coincidental.

if its not happening any more, then, well, random... if you have reoccuring issues such as hesitation, or its acting like its having a hard time getting gas, or backfiring, then things like your TPS, or AIC valve are possibilities. hope it was a one time deal, though!
