Cool custom instrument panel, know where to buy?

Yeah, I'm new to the site, so I'm not sure if its been covered yet(I did search though...). Wondering if anyone knows if there is any sort of custom instrument panels on the market that are worth a damn and look good. I would be happy with changing out the colors in the existing dash, but I'm a newb, so I dont know where to start. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. While I'm at it, I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel when it comes to new things to do to my cherokee, again, ideas are welcome!

I don't know about the aftermarket panel. I'm assuming you've checked all of the 4x4 parts websites like JCWhit's and the like. I do know that this has been addressed on the forum a couple times.

As far as other mods, you could upgrade the headlight wiring which gets you brighter lights, you could bedline the interior floor &/or rockers. You could cut your fenders, do a CAI, all preventative maintenance including all fluids, or many others. Iguess it depends on what you use your XJ for (e.x. lockers probably aren't high on the to-do list for a mall crawler).

Just do your own all it would take are the gauges, the knowledge to wire them up which is all pretty basic, and a panel to mount everything in.

Go-Jeep has some great info on doing white face gauges on his site:

http://go.jeep-xj.info/HowtoWhiteGaugesInstall.htm

And sells them for about $10.00 here:

http://go.jeep-xj.info/Whitebground.htm

Looks pretty nice, and might be a pretty fun project to do...

Cool

Thanks for the help guys, I'm gonna check out those links right now. I do love to do projects, so maybe I'll try making my own panel like c-loss suggested. I'll do some digging and see what I come up with.

Unfortunately those are only good for pre 97 gauges I believe.

Could you use the ones for the TJs though. They look the same to me.

I just checked out that link, and they only have dashes up to 96', I have 2000 model XJ, not sure it would work. I'll check on it. I came up with an idea this morning; if I could get ahold of a scaled image of the instrument panel, I have an uncle that owns a sign buisness that could possibly print whatever design I wanted onto whatever material I want. Oh, the possibilities... I'm thinking flames or just JEEP in the background...

I'm not sure but I think the TJ gauges on that one site would work in the later model XJs. The cluster looks the same to me.
