cruise control
ok mine doesnt work.
but the question is this, is there supposed to be a light on the dash or anything when its turned on???? its a 93 4ltr runing an auto box. there is a good vacume to the little tank thing what else can i check:001_huh: cheers in advance :thumbup1: |
nope, no light on mine. it has to do with vaccum lines and a main control box i think but im not an expert. I would like to know aswell. mine used to work really well but now when I engage it, it slows down to like 50 and holds steady instead of 60-65 where I set it and ive been trying to figure it out too

Mine is a 97, I'm sure the systems are different but this was my experience. I bought new switches but before I could install them I had to replace the transmission range switch...ever sense that the cruise control issue was gone. Maybe worth looking into? I was taking mine off to rebuild it when it broke and I had to get a new one.

i think i heard somewhere that there is a cruise controll box under the dash or something

cruise
i'm sorry, the cruise on my 2000 xj

Sluggy, check your brake pedal position switch. I don't know if that's the proper name for it, but you should have some button switch on the brake pedal that will deactivate the cruise, and on a Honda I had that button was not adjusted properly and wouldn't allow the cruise to work. Simple adjustment=cruise working...at least on that car.

cheers '4doors', thats a good idea as everything else looks fine.
