i wrecked my 98 5sp that took me a while to find after less than a year of having it... found an 2000 auto with a blown engine for 600 and began the tranny and engine swap ...you have the donor vehicle if you have the time...am gonna write the build once its finished... on the upside: it has been great father son bonding and i've learned alot more about jeeps... good luck brah

any damage to any vehicle is fixable, if you have the right tools and the right attitude towards the work.
what you have there is truly minor damage and with a decent welder and a hammer and dolly set, you can make it look stock again.
this is a perfect learning opportunity. you can gain a skill by fixing this. and the skill will stay with you for life. because as it sits, it's not worth any more than $500-600... it can be a goldmine to you, but to a buyer, it's a wrecked vehicle. but if you fix it up, you get to have your XJ back and know how to do body work.
this is 21st century, you can learn how to build an airplane through Google.

check out your local area. I just saw cheap quarters with glass available on the Portland, OR craigslist. almost free. doors are available reasonable, also. do you belong to a four wheel drive club? there's always a good bodyman in most clubs that would love to help you out. I was in one club with 3 bodymen. you finally found the rig you like, save it. four wheel drive clubs are an important resource to us "bondo impaired" souls. good luck with whatever you decide. keep on jeepin', XJ or CJ, just keep on jeepin'

The damage in the pictures does not look consistant with a 15mph collision. Looks like after impact you slid a pretty good way down. You sure you weren't doing 30 and scrubbed off some speed before impact?

Either way.. Good luck fixing it, I would hate to see that XJ go to waste.

here's my best help. i'm not a body guy, but i have restored 3 classic cars from barns and was taught how to do body work by one of the best sheet metal people I know.
I can weld good enough to be certified.... so, go to the build page, start a thread, and i will help you step by step.
