Default Crankshaft Position Sensor

Was curious is this something I should replace every 100K miles...I've got 180k on my jeep....would it be wise to replace as preventive maintenance?

Thanks,
Joe

That's a decision you need to make for yourself. Obviously, being proactive is better than having to be reactive when something fails. This is a part that sells in the $80 range so it's not a cheap part, but with the high failure rate with age that this sensor has, the investment might pay off with time.
