Default Crank Sensor?

I've narrowed my problem down to my Crank Sensor, bought it and when I went to change it I am lost on how the heck to get a wrench down in there to change it out. Anyone ever change one?

You have to get a whole bunch of extensions and a universal joint. You have to snake it up through the bottom and have a buddy guide it onto the bolt from the top. Also, if the universal seems too floppy, you can put a piece of tape around it, to make it a little less floppy. Me and my buddy did mine laying in the snow in about half and hour. Also, when you put the new one in, make sure the bolts aren't cross threads because it wouldn't be fun to try and tap a hole there and the sensor has to be in a precise position. Good luck.

i just did mine. went at it from the top. bit tricky to get your hands in. mines a diesel so don't know if the access is the same on a petrol. i got one hand under the fuel filter and the other down over the back of the engine. just take it easy and once you loose the bolts screw them out by hand. i got a few scratches on my wrists but nothing major.

I just replaced mine 15 min to get it out 1.5 hours to get it back in. Pull the front drive shaft at the diff and move it aside, gives a little more room. Don't knock the plastic cover out its a pain to get back in when you cant see it while replacing it. Good Luck
