Crank no start
So I have a crank no start situation. I have a 96 classic auto with about 195k miles. I was up wheeling Friday night and about 1 am on the way home just died. Pulled over and checked the fuses. It was the engine control 30 amp fuse. Ended up getting a tow home cause we could not find the short. Last night I disconnected the O2 sensors cos ingnition coil ECM basically everything along that fuse. Tried starting it and did not blow the fuse. I plugged them in one by one each time turning the key and it did not blow the fuse until I plugged in the ECM.
It was getting late but I tried to look for a short somewhere there but all the loom looked good. I'm still going to look some more but I guess my question is could a bad ECM cause this?
Thanks for the advice.
