There's no tapped holes on earlier heads to hold the coil packs on it. Mounts ll have to be fabricated.
We did this on a wj which had the split exhaust manifold, it doesnt leak...but maybe there's a difference, idk. And the coil does need a support yes but that's super easy to make

It doesn't leak. But the exhaust manifold ports are much smaller Probably gonna cause extra heat in that area from restrictions

Well, like I said we did this on a wj and it ran fine, but it's just my 2¢, he could also get lucky and find a jasper motor at the scrap yard like we did too lol

If cracked, look for another casting, the newer heads are a good choice and bolt on (as I have read), or the one mentioned above from Clearwater
it was overheating when we bought it, and has overheated a few times since, so I even if it's not cracked, I'd rather replace it since the parents are paying for repairs.

I think it would be fun to try and cram a v12 where the i6 is. For no other reason than pure entertainment.

Well my jeep issues just keep getting worse. The guy I took it to said he's about 90% sure it's a cracked block. And he will do more testing and know for sure sometime soon.

that's what we were thinking. And then we hopefully won't have any major problems to deal with

We have replaced the radiator, cleaned the heating core, flushed it several times and it was loosing coolant all the time, but wasn't leaking.

This might have changed but when I was looking for my replacement cylinder head most auto parts stores including NAPA only carried the OEM 0331 units. That's the reason I went with Clearwater since theirs was modified. Worth asking if it really matters to you.

advance auto parts says its a 0331 head as well. But I have to use the one they give me if I want the warranty.
