CPS help

So My 98xj's Crankshaft Positioning Sensor has gone bad. I am broke and need to fix this as cheaply as possible. I have the new sensor and locaed the old one i just can not figure out what i need to actually loosen the bolts. I wrestled:brickwall: with a 1/4 mm ratched with an 11mm head but i never had enough room to actually loosen it. Anyone who has done this know what tool/adapter i need to purchase to successfully remove the retaining bolts? Any and all Ideas are welcome. Thanks.

just changed mine on my 98 about 3 6-inch extensions and a wobbly on the end with the right size socket. go from the bottom. oh use 3/8 drive much easier than 1/4

Also, if you put a jack underneath the crossmember holding the transmission up, and remove the bolts holding the crossmember then lower the transmission down a couple of inches (not too much!) you'll have more room to work. Don't break any bolts on the crossmember though, and if you do REPLACE THEM!
