I recently redid my axle shafts, one I just put a new u joint in and one I bought a new assembly. On both of them though, I thought I put the u joint C clips in all the way, but it is hard to tell.
I have been keeping an eye on them to see if the u joints started moving outward. They have not really moved outward since the first test drive, but I did notice I can't see the C Clips.
I think they aren't there anymore. Do I have to order new ones?

If you look where the snap rings are supposed to be and don't see them well I guess you'll have your answer.

The caps sticking out just a sliver is normal and if you have the snap rings still in each cap then all is well.

Big brain fart on my part. Even though I JUST replaced them, in my mind I was thinking the c clips were on the outside like the driveshaft. I just got under my car and checked and they are all still there. Thanks you, you helped me remember how dumb I was being haha
