If there is anyone out there that has some extra time on their hands and gets bored, AND has the knowledge and expertise, maybe the "What junkyard parts will fit Cherokee" sticky can be incorporated into the "NKOC's Lift Reference Chart" and visa versa. Or at least any of the parts that have to do with lifts. In the JY parts list, add in specifics i.e. if its for suspension, specify what lift it will accommodate. If its for Brakes, specify if its for improvement or just direct replacement.
Some parts inside the Junkyard list mention compatibility that would be used for a lift, but they don't say how big of a lift.
Example: "WJ rear LCA's = replace XJ front LCA's, 2" longer to accommodate a lift, some grinding required." What size lift is this for? baby lift? 4" lift? or Any lift?
Example: "JK rear UCA = use as XJ LCA, its about 1-2" longer" How will 1-2" longer benefit someone? Is it beneficial for a lift or handling or both? What size lift?
Other examples "Camaro Spring Isolators = 1.5" lift" Does it matter what year Camaro?
"Dakota Bastard Pack (do same as with S10 pack) = ~4" lift" Does it matter the year of the Dakota, or S-10 for that matter?
"ZJ pitman arm = 1 inch drop over stock" How does having 1" drop benefit me?
From the Lift Reference chart, 4.5" requires a driveshaft and track bar. Are there JY parts that would do this for us?
And when searching for "Homebrew Slip yoke eliminator", there are no results.
These are just a few examples. But like I said, someone with the knowledge could grab a 6 pack, sit on the couch, and make them even better Stickies with a ton of info by stating what size lift parts work with, how other parts would benefit from their use if not used for lifting, and whatever info could be added.
I know the Junkyard sticky has 165 pages or so of posts, but I didn't want to read 165 pages to try and find these answers. Sorry I'm lazy.
I bring this up because:
1) I'm cheap and wanna do a Frankenstein lift.
2) It would be more satisfying from a mechanical and personal standpoint to do a Frankie lift rather than pay $800+ for the 4.5" I'm looking for.
3) I was looking at these stickies and these questions came to mind about putting the lift together because I'm not the most savvy when it comes to knowing all these things pertaining to XJ's. I'm certainly not new to working on cars at all, but I AM new to Jeeps. And I'm sure this would definitely benefit others and more than likely cut down on repeated, unnecessary, and stupid questions.
Leaving this open for input from others as well to provide information and more knowledge.

It is and would be very helpful but the problem I see is that the Moderators who put together those lists have been gone for years.
And active members who have that kinda info are few and far between.

I did notice while doing some searching on things that many people that had a lot of good info havent been active in a few YEARS. I'm talking people with thousands of posts and lots of knowledge. Kind of a shame, and really weird people with such passion about something just up and leave...
