this could be serious
 

theres a small rubbing noise of some sort coming from up front. it sounds like a loose ring spinning on a pole. it hasn't affected the engine at all, still drives smooth, it just started like 2 hours ago. I NEED HELP GUYS!:eek:

what were you doing when it started to happen, do you have any more details?

Have you checked the harmonic balancer. They are two part pulley and are press fitted with a rubber sleeve in between and they do seperate and can mimic several different sounds. Worth a look.
