Cop in A Ditch
 

I pulled a cop out of a ditch today. Funny story short awesome cop arrested me a few times as a teenager. I cleaned up my act and now were friends. He got his cruiser stuck on an access logging road that people smoke pot on and thought to call me.I went down there drove down the muddy as hell road hooked up my tug rope got him out. Then he had me drive him all the way down the road. The whole way down and back he was asking me all kinds of 4x4/jeep questions i think he might have caught the jeep thing.

Good on you. Positive relations with police are always good to have on your side. Start helping him find an XJ.

our pd has a bunch of xj's. not sure what they are gonna use once the miles get high on them and they go to auction....

That would be a good Jeep to buy. Well maintained and probably no rust. If it has the majority of cop options you get high idle switch and oversized brakes. Some have the 135 amp altenator and no carpeting to get nasty.

my first jeep came from the police dept. thing was perfect except for the dog hair from it being a k9 unit. no leaks from anywhere on the jeep ran me for 272xxx miles before i shelled the tranny on the thing.

my first jeep was an old inspectors jeep, it had 70,000 miles on it when i bought it, about 5 years ago, and i still have it, with only around 80,000 on it, the last jeep i bought was also a county jeep from where i live, its a 2000 with 100,000, and i got it for $2000, good deal i thought, and its in perfect condition
