Default Coolant not building much pressure.

Coolant hoses not very hard when squeezed. New water, radiator, thermostat, heater core flushed. Any ideas why system isn't pressuring as it should? Heat is decent

Are you over temp with an IR gun? Caps regulate pressure, how long has yours been on your Jeep? Not all hoses are created equally. Hose pressure by hand is fairly subjective.

Yeah, what's the ACTUAL temp you're running? Hit the thermostat housing with a IR temp gun when it's warmed up? Even if you have a leak, it should still build up pressure. Could be the cap like Tosc said. If it's not getting up to temp, maybe the t-stat is sticking or backwards. Sometimes new hoses are hard and firm like they should be and don't blow up like the old worn out 'balloons' used to. If it's keeping the right temp I probably wouldn't worrry about it.

Did you add purified water? (I hope it wasn't MN hard tap water).

How long has it been since you did all of that work? Sometimes you have to drive it for awhile to bleed all of the air out.

About 700 miles since WP and tonight I put a diff rad cap but have yet to drive it a long distance. I just worry something might be plugged or faulty but hear is good and it's running on the notch below 210.

Actually the pressure seems to be fine. Pressure in the system reduces the operating temp of the coolant. If you have insufficient pressure in the system your temp would likely creep up to maybe a hair over 210.

I agree that the "feel" of the hose is subjective. Disconnect it and see if coolant comes pouring out. Fill and run it again and repeat.

Check the engine with an IR temp gun. If everything runs well and there's no place on the engine that has some dramatically high temp as compared to other spots, I'd say you're probably over-paranoid.

I replaced the cap with a regular one and it has more pressure now 👌👍 thanks for all the input. Rock on
