finally got some uv dye run through it and its running out of one of five half dollar shape indentations that are under the exhaust manifold, its coming out the one thats the closest to the cab, near the marking "IF". how bad is this, what part is that i reffered to above? any ideas thought on how to fix? thanks!

 

Sounds like a frezze plug. Is it round and in the block?

 

yep, there are five of them right below the exhaust manifold

 

They are kinda a pain to do but not hard. It is better to take off your intake and exhuast. Just use a screwdriver and a hammer to pop out the old one and then I always say get new brass ones to replace it with.

 

Thanks! its for sure the freeze plug, and naturally the hardest one to get to... how long you think ican drive with thtat leak as long as i replace the coolant?

 

I wouldnt drive with it. I had one blow in my mustang and its no good when your stuck and cant add any more water with out hearing it leak right back out. lol They are a couple bucks and I would say just change them all out. Some people say you can do it from underneth but I have not tried. I just replaced mine when my motor was out. lol
