So I wanted to know what are all the parts I need to do the conversion and help with the whole gear ratios. I have stock axles am differentials. 1995 cherokee 4door with 31,s.

A lot of guys would just say to get a 4wd Cherokee and be done with it....

Me on the other hand would do a swap just because axles, transmission/transfer case, all the linkages, possible wiring (???) ECU but I could be wrong there...

You'll need a front axle with matching ratio, front drive shaft, a new rear drive shaft, transfer case, linkage and handle and all that junk, and unfortunately a new transmission. But that's about it. You can do some extra stuff to liven up the 4x4 light but it's not really worth it... most Jeeps this age don't have working lights anyway.

Transmission needs to be within a certain year range. http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1053970 tells me that 1991-1996 should be the same thing. I'd suggest checking out some partouts in the local forums or Craigslist, or find a wrecked one in a junkyard.
