Control bar question.

Control bar question.
I have a question concerning the lower control bars on the front of my 99 cherokee. I have a 3" lift right now but was gonna add another 1.5" to it. I had done this same thing on a 98 cherokee I had and it seemed to work ok other than with 4.5" of total lift as well as having a set of cut-out flares I could only run a 32X11.50-15. I believe that part of the reason was the wheel offset but I dont think I could have ran any bigger tire. My question is will the stock control bar work with the lift? I was told that it would work with up to 4.5" of lift before having to go with longer bars. Is this true that mine will work as long as I dont go any bigger than 4.5"?
