continual headlight dinging

continual headlight dinging
my friends 97 cherokee sport headlight dinger doesnt stop. when the headlights are on and the door is open it dings like usual, but when the headlights are off, it still dings when the door is open. so it dings pretty much any time the door is open. how is this fixed?

Unplug the dinger box! its a plastic box that is on your fuse box. It has 7-10 prongs....it will stop all that noise real quick. I had to take it out when i did the removable door mod.
