Welp.. Can't argue with moderators I guess. 4 years of WHEELING in my 92 xj, not mall crawling (my 98 5.9 zj daily driver does that job) and I've never had a problem. I have brand new oem motor and tranny mounts. I guess I'll find out how another jeep does when the 92 stroker gets put into a 99-01 xj if there's a problem.

Well cool I guess,, but when you finally punch a hole in your filter from WHEELING, dont be shy to came back and let everyone know what happen and what your plans are to fix it..

So I guess I'm still confused. People actually take the time to remove the adapter. They get it off and have access to the gasket. But instead of now just replacing the gasket they use a smaller filter with less filtering median. Wow, guess I've been doing it wrong

Yep. They are so close to successfully replacing the o rings and instead re engineer their oil filter because they must be smarter than the manufacturer.

well they change their oil all the time by poking holes in their filter and letting it drain. Best way to do it. Let your jeep decide when the oil change is necessary.

Default It does work, and it can hit motor mount, worth time to grind room

I am now very happy have done, maybe 3 years ago. But did split 2 oil filters due to it moving forward and hitting the frame part of the motor mount.

Grinded away about 1/4-5/16" at contact place and never an issue since (about 2 years). It is very easy to change afterwards. My last change was over a year ago and have maybe 10,000 on Mobil one syn, about to change again. Oil actually looks decent, used purolator's top of line filter.

So beware of issue, but it can work very nicely. If you have no way to grind away contact point, then do not suggest doing it unless you setup without mods has 3/4" clearance.

So let me get this straight...you say it works, but have punched holes in two filters. To remedy this, you start grinding structural components. And you wait a year to do an oil change at 10K miles, on an undersized filter. The oil looks fine? Sent out a sample to Blackstone to verify this?

Sorry, but nothing you guys can tout will ever make me think it's a good idea. This thread is out of control and needs to go away. Bottom line is it's not a good idea to begin with, as if you take the OFA off in the first place, how easy (and cheap) it is to just fix it. Not like it's gonna start leaking again in a week, LOL...

This thread has turned into a cascading waterfall of tard. JMHO

Hmm, I think a Renix would be more proper for Cruiser.

Isn't that a WJ accessory set? I don't recognize it.

I was thinking that too. New manifold but it's not a 99-01 XJ belt setup.

Try again Roni
