Default Complete brake job (rotors, calipers, drums, etc.) Good time to do bearings?

I'm doing a complete brake job in the next couple of weeks, both front & rear. Rotors, calipers, drums, rotors, and all the minor stuff.

I'm also replacing shocks all around, and rear leaf springs. Gonna be fun! Glad I have air tools!

Is this a good time to do the bearings/hubs on a Jeep with 247k miles? As far as I know, everything is original.

Any tips on brands?

Yep, buy them local, they usually have a warranty and can be returned easily if you have any issues during the install.

Good stuff. I just watched a very helpful video on doing the front hubs, thanks to Heap Of Jeep.

Anybody got a link to a video on the rears? I'm not coming up with anything.

I went with Timken unit bearings from www.rockauto.com for 75 bucks each.

I've heard good things about Timken. I've had bad experience with Rockauto. I'll look around.

Well, I found a couple of videos on Youtube.

Here's

Here's one for a 2001:

Might as well do the axle u-joints while you are in there, if they are also old as dirt.

If the hubs are good then just leave them alone. If not also do the ujoints.
