I wrote a post a little while back about some issues I was having with my Jeep. I guess my friend fixed most of the problems.
It actually starts now!!
But, I am having one of the same issues that I had before.. My coil keeps burning out. I have put almost 10 coils in it, in the last 2 months. Jeep will die or not start, Then i look and there is no spark. I get a new coil.. put it in & it will start just fine.. maybe a day or so later.. same thing over again...

What the heck could be causing the coil to keep burning out?

I have a 93 jeep grand cherokee laredo
5.2 liter
all time 4wd

You might get more advice on the Gran Cherokee section. But I will say are you sure it's you coil going bad and not the CPS. A bad CPS will also give you a no spark situation. And a lot of times when the CPS starts to go bad it will cause intermediate problems.

 

Coils burn out when they can't discharge properly. The high voltage finds other places to go. Check your primary wire between the coil and the cap, the cap, rotor, plug wires, plugs...
