Has anyone ever heard of Coates Engines Technology? They make what they call rotary valve heads that eliminate the poppet valves and replace them with what is more or less ball valves on a shaft. It eliminates 80% of the moving parts in the valve train. They are saying you get a fifty percent power increase ,50 percent better fuel economy, and better engine life. It's also not lubricated by oil so it reduces emissions. They claim to have run one of their racing v8's at 14000 rpms at full load on a dyno.Here's the website check it out.
