Default Clutch Problem

I have a manual 95 cherokee xj , its all stock .. i just got a new stage 2 clutch kit Bahnhof and replaced it with the old OEM one , and got the SACHS new master and slave Cylinder replaced , and since then i had a problem with the clutch , i have no problem shifting at all , but when i let go off the clutch it doesnt seem to engage right away it takes time and the pedeal seems to stick in but comes right out , and when the car is not moving i hit the clutch couple times then the pedal becomes pretty stiff and hard n when i bearly touch the clutch pedal when the car not moving it moves makes click click click sound ,,

I dont know what seems the problem , anyone had similar issue ,,

Did you bleed the master properly? Even if you did you could try and bleed it again

I have seen this happen on other makes and models because someone didn't remove the temporary blocks they put in the pressure plate assembly to pre-compress it until it is installed. Did this have these blocks and were they all removed after it was installed?

i honestly have no idea , as soon i got the car from the guy who installed the clutch kit i noticed the problem , then he said this because the parts are new , and it will go away in time , i came back to him after a while and he was blaming the master and salve cylinder , then he said no its the pressure plate that is bad ,, he said the diaphragm springs are too weak , and when you let off the clutch they dont come back right away , thats why it takes time to engage, and wanted me to buy a new pressure plate and replaced the current one ..

i dont know what to do all the parts i bought are new , and all the mechanics says they need to drop the tranny to figure out with the problem is ..

Yes it might have to be dropped or just undone and pulled back a bit and visually inspected for problems. I could be wrong but it sounds like it might have been installed incorrectly. Some new pressure plates are packaged with some form of temporary blocks between the diaphragm/fingers and the housing frame to pre-compress it a bit and are meant to make it easier to install.

Without these the bolts are sometimes not long enough to reach the flywheel to bolt it on. After it is bolted up these have to be removed from inside the housing. If not, it can block how it functions and act similar to what you have mentioned. But yours may not have even came with these blocks, so it was just a thought and possible issue if it did.

Do you think i need to replace the pressure plate , cause the mechanic showed me that he can press the fingers with his hands and they would go down a lil bit , is that an issue ?? Cause he said it should be very strong ,
Cause if i have to replace the pressure plate im buying an OEM set , would the flywheel of the stage 2 would work fine with the OEM kit ?

If the boltholes are in the same place as they should be, then I would think it should be fine.

i ended up dropping the tranny and there were some frictions on the fingers from the inside on the pressure plate , i was told that the disc is too big for the plate clutch but i bought both of them as a kit so i doubt that , i replace the clutch to a stage 1 and another problem occurred , that the clutch pedal come back up pretty slow but the sound of the clicking disappeared, we changed the hose that connect the master and slave cylinder and it solved the problem , but i still dont know what solved the problem , and what causes frictions on the disc fingers and the were some frictions on the flywheel , , the plate clutch looks pretty good , i dont know if i have changed the hose at first would solved my problem or i really have some issues with the pressure plate ..

Thank you for the update, man...I would never had thought that the new master and slave would have an issue. I went by the idea this was all new but never connected the fact that this was also when you started having trouble. Once again another lesson that we can never assume that new parts always work properly like they are supposed to. I hope all is working well now?
