Hey everyone, I've been noticing a loud clunking sound coming from the front drivers side. How can I go about checking if this is due to a bad ball joint(s) or control arm bushing? I tend to only notice the sound when I'm turning and going over bumps. I know it's not the wheel hub as those have both been recently replaced. Jeep has over 230k miles on it so don't want to start replacing random parts if they have more life in them as money is a little tight right now. But need to figure this sound out as I don't want a wheel or something to fall apart driving down the highway. Thanks for tips/advice in advance!

visually check Control arm bushings and Jack the axle up and down to look for play. To check the ball joints, raise the front end, put a pipe under the tire and lift the tire slightly. Have a friend look for movement In the balljoints

If the hub nut was not properly torqued unit bearings can get trashed pretty quick. With that kind of miles it's not a bad idea to just replace everything.

Figured out where the clunking sound was coming from. Not sure what the part is called but it's a mount above the front bell housing that the drag link connects too. The two bolts holding the mount needed to be tightened back down. Once I did this the clunking sound went away.
