Default clogged cat, can i fix it or do i have to replace it?

well i got a cherrybomb glass pack installed over the old one, and to me the exhaust isn't loud enoght. it sounds throaty at idle and with a little gas but as soon as i get a good pace the sound dies out. that tells me that my catalytic converter is clogged cause i know it should be louder.

so can i get the cat cleaned or do i have to buy a new one?

I don't think you can get the cat cleaned ....You will have to buy a new one just get a nice high flow one so it flows well.

And it's illegal and does little to performance. We don't promote suggesting folks do illegal things to their rigs..

I've said this before but if you have access to a plasma cutter, carefully cut the cat open and cut all the guts out. Then weld it back up nice and reinstall it. done and looks legal.

Sorry guys cat requirement isn't a state issue and whether or not you have emissions check it's required by federal law if it came equipped with one you are required to run one. So again it's illegal to not run one and the gains are minimal at what cost???

It is pretty easy to take the exhaust apart at the cat and knock the guts loose with a rod then drag them out with a cote hanger .i did that first and ran it till the cat finally rusted out
