i have some things i like to plug in my cigarette lighter..i fixed it once cuz the prongs wouldnt say on..now it doesnt work at all..and wen i connect all the prongs my dash lights come on.....without a key in the ignition...help please..any ideas are appreciated

 

im not sure what your problem is, but thats not as bad as mine,
if i plug anything into my 89s the whole jeep dies lol!!!!

 

sorry to hear that buddy...they tested my socket and said theres power but wen i plug sumtn in and all prongs r touching wat they should be...it doesnt give power

 

first, check the fuse,
second, check for shorts in the wiring,
third, junk the socket and buy a new one!

 

Sounds like you have a short to ground or your cig lighter power is touching another bare wire going to your dash lights.
