Chrysler 8.25 U bolt size

Hi guys, I bought a set of what were advertized 8.25 U bolts from a forum member. I am now measuring them and the distance between the posts is just a hair under 3 1/4". Does this mean these will not work with the 8.25?

No they will. When mine were brand new I had to squeeze them together so they would fit through the u bolt plate.

If I remember correctly the 8.25 uses 3" u-bolts the d35 uses 2.5" u-bolts.
