To chop or not to chop?

I have a 91 two-door cherokee. come spring time, I'm seriously considering chopping the back off it and making a truggy-type deal. I'm just curious what everyone here thinks about that idea. Yes i know I'll need a roll cage in the back to prevent a taco onslaught.

If done right I think they are cool. I just don't like them that are all hacked up and just half azzed.

Well since you are right up the road from me, I will tell you my opinions. 1.get frame strengtheners for the mid and front, you will have to make your own for the rear.
2. Make plans to have a good cage built even before you chop.
3.rhino line floor as soon as you chop it
4.Plan on getting crazy looks from ppl, and ppl asking what the hell it is.

MIne was all ready chopped when I got it home. If you check out my webshots page and look at the toy jeep album... you will see what I did to mine, and the lessons I learned.

It'll be done right, before chopping it I'll be having a friend help me strengthen the frame with steel plate(guy has been doing body work for 40 years) and I'll be putting a roll bar in the back. I'll also be sealing up the body and making it look nice.
