Default Cherrybomb Turbo

So here is the deal. I am looking to get a good CHEAP exhaust and have been looking at the cherrybomb turbo. I would rather spend the 20 or so dollars on a semi good sounding exhaust and spend the extra money i would have saved from not spending it on a flowmaster, and use it for the many many things that i need to buy (new tires etc.). BUT, i would much rather have it bone stock than have it start to sound like my neighbor's honda . So what do you think about this idea?????

keep it stock. CherryBombs sound like weed-eaters when used on inline engines.

i have a cherrybomb turbo on mine.. its very quiet. sounds just like stock. im thinking of getting the glasspack. the good thing is if you want to just replace it, the turbo is a cheap way to go. if you want to replace it with something louder for cheap then the glasspack is your best bet also the cherry bomb turbo is much shorter than a stock muffler, so pick up about a foot or so of extra pipe to go between the cat and the bomb, just for a little extra advice

Well what i'm looking for is something a little bit louder than stock, but not so loud that it becomes obnoxious. I watched some vids on youtube of cherrybomb turbos on cherokees and it still gave a relatively good sound while still being $20 at Auto Zone

a cherry bomb would be good for you if you dont want it to be too loud but give it a nice sound

Cherrybomb Turbos are not the same as their glasspacks. THey look like a regular muffler. They are cheap too, usually less than $25. I have one on my 90 XJ and it sounds just fine. I have one on my 95 ZJ too. And a couple friends have them on TJs and other rigs. And I'm putting one under my 94 Explorer soon too.

Honestly, I think they sound just fine. I don't need loud anymore. Then again, I do have a Flowmaster 40 under my 2.3 liter Ranger, and its just a little too loud, I imagine it would be worse behind a bigger motor.

I had a friend slap one on an old bimmer beater he had and it made it sound like a riced out civic. It was horrible.

EDIT: this was the regular round cylinder red painted cherrybomb. I guess the turbo is different. sorry!
