Cherokee transmission issue:

I have an 04 Cherokee and when I come to a light sometimes i hit the gas and it seems like its in neutral, but when i put it back to park, then drive... nothing. I have to turn it off, then on, then it works... could this be the same thing happening? I would check my oil, but I didnt drive it today to work.

TCU maybe?
