Cherokee ?Tranny? Issues
Ok so I have 98 Cherokee 4.0l, I am assuming this is electrical issues but not sure what... Anytime I come to a complete stop in DRIVE I will kinda like miss 1st gear (Rpms go up but i ain't moving fast until I get to about 20mph) but if I shift into 1st-2nd gear then It's fine and I have no issues with it, it's only in drive that it has that problem, AND this is only occasional like on my way to work it might do it and on the way home it might not, taken it to a tranny shop because autozone diagnostics gave me a general tranny reading, and they replaced a solenoid that there reader said was bad, fine for a day then the next day it is doing the same thing, I replaced tried replace throttle position sensor cause it sounded logical to me but that didn't help neither. I need help

Do you recall what the diagnostic trouble code ("P" code) was.
Is your transmission full?
Is the fluid black or smell burnt? (on dipstick)
What solenoid did they change?

There is no code P0100. It must have been P0700, which is generated by the PCM indicating there is a fault in the transmission circuit(s). Generally there is a transmission code to go along with P0700.
Here's the solenoids:
Ask them which #2. Looks like it may have been solenoid A if it's not downshifting to 1st gear.

Okay so they replaced the solenoid for the 1st-2nd gear, guy at tranny shop told me he would call me when he could get in touch with his electrical guy but I started my lift kit and got busy with that so Im missed the call and don't really want to take it back to this guy, anyway... I'm manual shifting it now in 2wd because I get 1st gear fine but if I'm in drive It's still doing the delay thing(high rev, not a lot of movement(but it does eventually go and shift(just really slowly))), today I also figured out that if I shift into any 4wd I get drive perfectly fine, but i don't get the manual shift 1st gear, that does the delay... That almost makes me think it could be something with the t case cause I did recently replaced that with a used one
