Default Cherokee as a Daily Driver/Mud

I am new to the Jeep scene, and as soon as my f-250 sells, I am going to buy a Jeep Cherokee 97'-01' automatic, 4WD, etc. and I will be primarily using the vehicle for driving to school and some mudding.

After purchasing it, I want to lift it, and put bigger tires on it. I don't think i need adjustable arms, and etc. which i believe is primarily for rock climbing.

What lift/tires should I go for? I need the car to be able to handle pretty well, and get decent mpg.

Can anyone recommend specific lift kits/tires that would be good for a daily driver and also able to use mudding.

How expensive would a 3.5" in. lift and 31in tires be? with labor and without please.

Thanks!

your asking for too specific info... lift kits can come on a broad perspective... some kits are complete aftermarket parts.. some are just add-ons (my advice. do not use lift blocks for the rear regardless of the lift)

but i would suggest what you had in mind... a 3.5" lift with 31's would be a nice start... don't really need to get too technical with gears or SYE or longer anything really....

most shops won't install lift kits cuz its not manufacture spec.... maybe try finding someone to lift it for you and pay them sure but then your at the mercy of that "mechanic"

if your really lost... just go to the search engine and look up lift kits.... there is atleast 2 people everyday that will ask this same question so your best bet and your better off doing it anyway for your own sake is to research a little bit... check and compare prices for what you can afford and then assest what is in your capabilities

i'd get aftermarket arms, if not adjustable ones, if you want 3.5" of lift.
