cherokee acceleration issues after replacing CPS
hey guys,
I just got my first Cherokee 2001 3 weeks ago. the other day it failed me and would not start. i took it to a "supposed" good mechanic in the area and after 3 days informed me that i needed a new PCM-$900. I had the jeep towed home and followed the technical thread on how to replace my Crank Position Sensor. only thing i forgot to do was to disconnect the battery. and beautiful, she started right up, but now when I'm in drive (automatic) i cant accelerate at all. almost like im stuck in a higher gear. I can shift into 1-2 gear and 3rd all work. when in drive though i feel like i'm pulling a huge trailer behind me. any ideas would be great. I did go ahead and disconnect the battery and to try and reset the PCM, but no luck. engine light came back on.
