cherokee 2000 2.5td heater problem
I have an issue with my heater. My engine gets warm enough(operating temp). And I have enough coolant. Fan works as it should but doesent blow warm air into the cabin at all.
Any suggestions? :cry:It sucks to live in Norway with a cold car in the winter:cry: |
Sounds like either the blend door is not switching like it should or the heater core is plugged up.

Thanks Outlaw. I'll look in to that.

Try flushing out your heater core. Take the heater hoses off the firewall and run a hose at regular pressure alternately in both directions through the two fittings. If gunk flows out, keep letting water flow through there until it runs clean. Then switch to the other fitting and let it flow until it runs clean. Alternate back and forth until they both run clean.
If the heater core is clogged with scale, you won't have heat because the coolant can't circulate through it. If it's so clogged up that water won't flow through it when you try to flush it out, you might need to use a chemical flush to loosen it up. |
